Northern Precision Custom Swaged Bullets

I started making bullets in 1989. There was a need for lighter bullets made for deer-size game and practice. These were made in .416 cal. as I have found the light .416 cal. bullets work great in reducing felt recoil and cost.

We now offer bullets in .228 to .500 and they are sold worldwide. we are always adding new bullets to our line, and we offer custom weights and styles!

How They're Made

At Northern Precision, our Custom Swaged Bullets are made one at a time in Corbin dies under high pressure. There is no heat involved. Each one is individually inspected and then packaged.

Round Nose

Round Nose bullets are made for shorter range good in thick cover.

Bonded Core

The Ultimate Big Game Projectile!

With Bonded Core, each jacket is heat-bonded to its core, forming a one-piece bullet. The expansion of the jacket pulls the lead with it, resulting in perfect expansion with nearly 100% retained weight.

Ultra Low Drag

Ultra Low Drag are for long range targets these have a very high b.c.

Flat Tip

Flat tip are made for tube magazines on lever actions and handguns.

Poly Ball Tip

Protection & Expansion

The Poly Ball (a special linear-linked polyethylene sphere) in the tip of the bullet protects the bullet nose during handling and feeding, and drives back into the lead core on impact, acting like a flexible wedge to help open the bullet for uniform expansion.

Thin Jacket

Thin jackets are made for thin skin game like dear size game. Also for targets.

Hollow Point

Hollow points have cavity in lead core at tip of bullet for fast expansion.
